Assessment and Therapy
At FT Forensic Psychology you can expect to receive high quality and evidence based professional services. We provide both assessment and treatment for clients who present with a myriad of concerns. Our service provides assessment for individuals of all ages, specifically in the forensic field, Child and Family Court settings and Out of Home Care environments. We also provide treatment for children and adolescents who present with behavioural disturbance, sexualised behaviour, substance abuse concerns, aggressive behaviour and histories of trauma and abuse.
Forensic Assessment
Forensic Assessment (including pre- and post- sentence reports and risk assessments) consist of both an interview and the completion of psychometric assessments. These assessments generally take around two to three hours to complete.
Parenting Capacity and Placement Assessments
We undertake parenting capacity and placement assessments for matters currently before the Children's and Family Courts. In addition, we undertake comprehensive placement assessments for FaCS and NGO's to support the needs of children in the Out of Home Care system (including the provision of Behaviour Management Plans where requested).
Therapy
FT Forensic Psychology provides therapy to children, adolescents and their families and/or carers. Sessions run for one hour and we specialise in working with children with complex behavioural and emotional presentations.
